Also make use of heroes which level stupidly fast for Skarsnik and also have reduced costs for their actions. I currently have one walking around that has a 50% or better chance to assassinate for only about 50-70 gold per attempt, its pretty crazy.
Once Skarsnik hits level 10 you also get access to a lot of regiments of renown at once, so make good use of those.
Skarsnik does not need access to orcs. His objective remains fine. His campaign is set to the difficulty it is for a reason but it is more than manageable. Anyone who learns how to play with goblin armies properly can do what is needed. They have all the tools required.
Work on the red line and buff up your gobbos, focus on using Nasty Skulkers for ap and use the little waagh at the right times to turn your army into a blender. Do not underestimate how much damage Nasty Skulkers can put out.
Getting trolls when possible early on is also a great help to your army. You just need to get used to using buffs to have your line hold while using Nasty Skulkers and Trolls to cycle charge and move about the field ripping everything apart.
Always good to have some wolf riders though for dealing with arty.
Having a second cheaper army also helps though making multiple well rounded goblin armies also works. You also have a few different choices you can make. You can secure your province, build up two decent armies then bum rush karak eight peaks. You can also hit the orc settlement in the bretonnian land to use that as a capitol and build.
You can also work on heavily the relations with the wood elves. Durthu is the easiest. Get him on your side and the others will fall in. Then you can start having a blast because they don't care much about you wiping out dwarves or fellow greenskins.
Skarsnik's campaign requires a lot of micro management and is widely regarded as the hardest vanilla(aka unmodded) campaign in the game. It takes a good bit to get used to it.
(also sneaky skulkers are 10/10 boys for stabbing dwarf butt)
also yeah, yellow skills (right at the top should have some that boost goblins) alongside the redline goblin buffs will carry you far
