Yes thank you Captain Obvious. Unless you have an actual accurate number to assign to that observation, please go away.

here in total war hes MUCH larger even past an ork, which is contrary to the old lore. hes probably like a troll by size and weight. So I would guess hes like 2x or 2.5x an orcs weight in TWWH2.
the average orkboy is 2m (thats lorewise) (they grow more when they get stronger and more successfull, but they are mostly musscles. so the basic reference we would have is an around 2m human with strong muscles. so looking at the strongest man and how big they are and which of them are mostly muscles and elss fat (some are actually quite fattih too) one could estimate an ork mucle human for around 180-200kg for 2m in size.
so the oldschoold warhammer grm might be 200kg. and the TWWH2 one probably 500kg given hes 2,5x an ork.
Thanks! This whole thing stemmed from when I was re-watching a lore video on Grimgor stating that he's 4m tall and 500kg which got me thinking about how big Grom might be.
Or I could just go to Google and put in "convert pounds to kilos" :P
Plus mass doesn't increase linearly with respect to length/height. For example a 6 metre long saltwater crocodile weighs double what a 5 metre long one does, not the 20% increase you'd 'logically' expect. You can't just double the weight of someone who's 2 metres tall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square%E2%80%93cube_law
I think you'd be looking at a weight of close to, and maybe even over, a tonne for 4 metres of exceptionally broad pure muscle (can't skimp on bone density either not to mention the 'backup' organs we're probably going to need) roughly the shape of a silverback gorilla.
If I was going to put a top range on weight, I'd go from the angle of what's the maximum load for that chariot. It's made of wood with some metal reinforcements, but with a solid wood axle and no suspension, there has to come a point where hitting a pebble will snap an axle and if your chariot is dead, you can't pull a Darius.
I assume his chariot may be modified (steel plate wrap or metal splinting on the axle) due to losing more than one mount (and probably losing an engineer each time as well), but it can't be too overengineered or you won't be able to pull it with wolves...they don't have ball bearings in Warhammer (except Dwarves, but table that).
I know physical laws are different in the Warhammer universe in many places (the only thing that can pick up half the weapons in the game are dreadnoughts...seriously, pick up and swing a real sword for five minutes), but I think the less-flashy things don't get the woo-woo treatment. Though to be honest, only Orks and orcs and oruks and whatever they're called next edition seems to be the only race that poops.
This has been your daily "I should eat lunch and hydrate before going on a babble" babble.
