Mods not working - 'Mod Data Corrupted'
Can somebody tell me what I can do to fix this? If I play Three Kingdoms I can use my mods, but WH2 doesn't work.

This has nothing to do with mods not being updated. I have twenty mods that were updated today and three that were *created* today.

Whenever I press 'Play' on Steam and boot up the Launcher, I turn over to the Mod Manager and all it says is "It appears that your mod data is corrupted. Deactivating all mods", and then it just sits there, with the loading icon going around and around but none of my mods appear on the list no matter how long I wait, whether it be twenty minutes or four hours.

When this happens you need to reinstall the game and unsub from all mods. Make a list of them and then resub to them once you reinstall.

Your other quicker choice is to unsub to all mods, verify your game file and then resub. If that doesn't work refer to choice one.

Are your mods up to date?

Mods need to be updated when a new patch comes out. If you play with mods that didn't get updated or if they did but you didn't update them after the patch, you're bound to face bugs.

@aidenpons I actually prefer to use Kaedrin, and only tried to use CA's launcher because I had the same 'infinite loading' problem there. I figured, at the time, that it was a weird bug that was introduced with the new patch to WH2.

@SteelaiRizel *looks at all 840+ subscribed mods* *feels Ghost of RSI Future creeping up on me* I wasn't planning to use that hand today anyway.

Oh dear. If your connection speed is good maybe just try the reinstall or verify. I run with a much smaller list these days for a reason.
Yeah, I always knew that my mod list would bite me someday. It already is with other games...

Anyways, in the interests of preserving my wrist, I've done the 'pro gamer move' of simply moving the contents of the WH2 workshop and data folders to folders on my desktop, and am currently uninstalling/reinstalling. If this works the way I think it should, then those folders should be replaced with working versions and I'll delete the ones on my desktop.

Then comes the Great Modlist Purge, but at my own pace.

Thank you all, I'll let you know how this works out.

To solve the infinite loading issue in KMM you have to delete ALL mods from your data folder and restart KMM so it can redownload the mods. Then it works.

More info/help at C&C discord, Kaedrin has his own channel there.

Why are you subscribed to 1/5 of the workshop....
How many do you even use at a time?

My way of doing things didn't work, but @SteelRizel's did. My issue has been solved.

just verify the files and you are fine; no need to uninstall ore unsub:)

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
