How to solve the dial puzzle when searching ruins.

Im not sure if people know the answer already but after wrecking my head over which is which and what turns. I just wanna put it out there so people who dont know dont have to suffer.

I used Paint 3D to cut both dials and rotate them accordingly (please dont use Paint 3D it was agony use something better... unless you have no other choice)

so anyway the trick is to align the center piece until the head is upright. so the forehead is pointing up and the chin is pointing down and you have the eyes on the left and right on a horizontal line. basically a face looking forward.

then align the outer ring on the fixed center piece. this will link 4 lines to the needed puzzle pieces.

so first:

-Align the middle piece to make the face stand upright

second:

align the outer ring until it links 4 lines.


there was a lot of debate on whether you turn the middle or the outer. Well you rotate both. not one of them.

Dial is the most pain in the ***, seriously. That's easily the most difficult POS ever invented by CA's puzzle department.

Cypher isn't so difficult but some of the options are 50% chance hit-or-miss. Because you already know what numbers they are but the color can either be one or the other, there's no way to know for sure.
