Which offensive spells are fantastic?
So, I was playing around with Queen Khalida after watching a youtube video. One of the Vortex the lich priest has is amazing, I get about 400-500 kills every battle. Granted, it´s been mostly against Skaven and Undead, easier to get kill count up that way.

The thing is that I have always been a non magic player, also hardly ever use agents unless it´s for blocking an army on a rare occasion.

What are the best offensive spells in the "good" factions? I don´t play "evil" factions because I am a natural born turtler, I like to defend and keep my garrisons protected. Hard to do when you have to worry about loyalty, food and fightiness issues.

Which faction should I play to get the best bang for the buck if I intend on using spells?

Who has that one? Just trying know to look on youtube but can´t find any specific video with my question in mind. Lots of magic videos ... but not interested in knowing about ALL the magic.

It's in Lore of Nehekhara.

The best offensive spell in raw damage is a clash between Lore of Vampires' Wind of Death and that wind spell from the Lore of Deep. Other good offensive ones are in Lore of Fire, Lore of Metal, Lore of Beasts with Flock of Doom, Lore of Shadow with Pendulum, Skaven Warp Lightning, Orc Foot of Gork, Lore of Death with Purple Sun of Xereus and quite some more, who I can't think of now.

Basically: play Empire to experience the most and get to know them quicker, play others to see more specific ones or with better Winds of Magic reserves.

I really Like the dark elves magic. Malekith and Morathi both have fun spells to play around with, offensive and also debuffs. It’s fun to cast soul blight on an enemy frontline and then have my hydra and friends tear into it

You forgot Banishment from Light, you filthy heretic.

Shadow's Pit of Shades and Death's Purple Sun are fantastic at different things. Pit won't do the same damage but you can use it in walls or in melee since it doesn't move. Purple Sun in the middle of an enemy army or siege defence will wrack up intense carnage...if it stays on target.

Wind of Death is devastating but expensive, burning head roasts lightly armoured troops.

Fate of Bjuna is devastating against a single tough unit like Chosen or Executioners.

Light is one of the better lores, at least competitively.
