Malekith is the Witch king solely because of Morathi. She is responsible for creating the entire dark elf race. She worships Slaneesh and created another awesome faction called Cult of pleasure. Without his mother Malekith would have been nothing.

I object to this because what other people are missing here is without her the malekith would not exist and in all honesty who would like a mother that is constantly having well pleasure with other men. No one is arguing her love for him, most mothers love their offspring, I´m sure she believes she´s doing the best for him, but at the end of the day that love (and Dark Elves being Dark Elves) has left him scarred, hateful, seared into his armour and madly obsessed.
Oh, and alone, nothing insane or oidepial about a mother murdering your only GF so that she´ll be the only woman in your life and you´ll work harder on becoming president, no?

You are on about pre warp.
After Malekith went through the warp he stopped being hateful and madly obsessed, in fact he became emotionless and filled with a higher understanding ( after fighting a greater daemon).
Hence choosing to step back into the flame and becoming the true leader of the Elves.
He went full circle, good guy, bad guy (but was in the right), back to order/good.


Where as Tyrion was absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy and that is probably because his mother did not love him nor help him, so he became the avatar of Khaine and became evil.

Ed: Looked it up, good story, but it sounds to me less like he found enlightenment and calm, and more like he passed beyond burning hate into ice-cold hate.
And moreover, nothing of that is Morathis doing, and it doesn´t really make her a better mother.

Morathi cared for malekith? Sure. But she was obsessed and consumed by her thirst for power. And soon he became just means to an end for her. And once she sought Tyrion as avatar of khaine she had no more use of malekith.

Truth is malekith would've probably stayed as a good guy with out her influence...

And I think malekith deserve more credit for staying good despite his mother. I mean he resisted the call of the Widowmaker... He could've taken up that sword and conquered ulthuan anytime.

This. Entirely. He was alright with not taking the throne, until she made him obsessed about it. I really doubt any of it was for love. All of it was for a personal better standing. Such as some parents do. Use their children to succeed, what they could not do. She can't be the KING, so her son better be that damn fool or she mad.
