Alarielle's look
What do you think? Is she as pretty as you hoped for or are you disappointed because she doesn't look good?

She isn't, she's an elf, and quite young to boot compared to most other elf LLs, but considering the god's influence in her blood and power, she's pretty much a walking god avatar. Almost, since she isn't technically possessed, so she is just a "chosen". But a "chosen" tuned to 11 and on steroids.
Alarielle is available on tabletop, but no god is available, obviously.

In end times they find out that all the phoenix kings but Aenerion are fake, which renders her a slightly above average mage.
End times doesn't make sense for HE lore at all. it basically retcon everything, and therefore shouldn't even be considered as worth discussing. it's either we're playing with end times lore and ignore anything before that, or ignore anything from end times, they aren't compatible. TW WH is set before the end times, and therefore lore before that applies, and you ignore end times.
You can't make a mix of the two.

Whoever wrote that bad fanfiction had zero knowledge of the HE lore, and it's blatant.
Apparently GW doesn't know that proof reading to check inconsistencies is a thing.

Can you ever contain the beauty of an elven goddess in a texture file?

No I think the grim setting adds a lot of power to the faithful. To defy such darkness, to embrace the light and find the hope in such a terrible universe, it's something to think about man. It really reflects how easy it can be to fall into the darkness and how hard it is to resist that. It's a metaphor for real life in my opinion.

If I liked science fiction I'd like 40k more than the original. Unfortunately I'm a sucker for swords though.

There is no hope though. You either serve the Emperor and die, get killed horribly by the plethora of enemies the Imperium has, die by some horrible plague or turn to Chaos and die inside anyway. Or worse. Not to mention the Inquisition's merciless brutality or the Tyranid swarm the size of a constellation that will inevitably devour the entire galaxy.

It's that total grimdarkness of 40k that makes me like Fantasy more actually. There is something worth fighting for and there's more interesting themes.

You sound like a chaos-worshipper

BTW jsut saying, even Tyrion has a big heart shapped gemm on his chest. That's a present from the everqueen.
And Avelorn's soldiers often decorate their equipmement with flower symbols.

OMG, FLOWERS! OMG, HEARTS!
... Now you understand why the emo Dark elves hate Avelorn so much. Not enough skulls and spikes, not enough blood splatter, too much happy happy colours, greeneries and cute symbols.
Ooooh the paiiin, so muuuch happy colooouuurs.... It buuuurn my eyeeees.

I normally dislike flowers and hearts, but the Warhammer elves get away with it because they aren't afraid of murdering people (even eachother) either.

Kinda bizarre nonetheless, I mean I expect the skulls from Chaos not the Empire of all things.

Least th Dwarves know looking at their face is more pleasent than looking at skulls.

"Morr, god of death, protect our souls."

When you, as a society, are collectively scared witless that after dying, you expect to turn into a Chaos Abomination / zombie / Deamon / walking can-o-Nurgle if no measures are taken;
You tend to decorate according to who you believe can protect you after death.

In case of the Empire, this is Morr.
Morr enjoys skulls.

Edit:
Check out Morr's own personal Knightly Order, it'll stare you in the face (hah!):

Hmmm guess that makes sense.
