Some might say I don't like elves, and they would be correct, but it's the rational position to take. :p
Yeah but their a tad more tolerable in the warhammer setting... well other than the emo degenerates haha.
Dark elves seems more oriented to full scale offensive battles, lots of armor piercing damage, greatswords and dual wielding units that focus more on killing the enemies than staying alive.
Wood elves have probably the best archers, but their infantry is very weak and more than the other two factions they have a high dependecy of the monster units in their ranks to form a front line. They also have the least amount of penalties when fighting in woods...
For a fight betweeng the 3... If fighting in a dense forest, wood elves. Holding a shoke point or a high ground position Hight elves. In an ambush, dark elves for sure.
In a more general scenario. A dark elves army with lots of shades, suport from a dark ark and two hydras can negate most of the strong points of the other two... I think
