This is a dope feature. I was wondering when Steam would get on board with this. It’s been a long time coming and a great way to create content that is derived from source itself. Now I can get more of my on stream zaniness.

Why it makes 2 copy of the clip( one with scissor icon, second with rec icon? Why clips are hidden under so many folders? Why there is no button to go to the clip folder?
Why it minimize window everytime when you start and stop recording?

Nice now please we are waiting for the stable version on Steam Deck I love you❤️🤩💯🇮🇹

You don't need to enable the background recording if you don't want to, and it records locally anyways.
Big privacy advocate as well, Valve is basically the only big company that hasn't abused their power enough for me to distrust them, I don't think theres much of a reason to worry about this honestly.

It's true that valve has been great so far but there is no reason to have something that 90% of people have no use for installed by default, especially when it can be easily downloaded with a click of a blue button somewhere in the settings menu. We should be cautious of all closed source software, even if it comes from a trustworthy company. On top of that all software can be hacked, bugged, misconfigured... If I have no use for it I shouldn't have to have it on my PC.

If you on beta channel you can't not install this, it's in-steam on software level.

Also maybe in future there will be more high presets.

They add recording (which i'm probably going to end up using) but still don't fix Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike 2? Bro?

Awesome! Nvidia shadowplay has been sucking lately. Here's hoping your inbuilt version is superior.

Luckily doesn't work on linux, but they should remove it and make it opt in as well.
