just shut the store down completely if you are going to be jackasses like that about it. IT'S A STORE. IT'S NOT A PROFILE FEATURE. You could have at least advised people it would be there. WHo the f is giong to look there? it literally has shop in the name. People aren't going to be looking on their profile to find the shop. ESPECIALLY WHEN FOR 2 WHOLE WEEKS THE POINTS SHOP WAS ON THE MAIN STORE PAGE. LIKE GOOD GRIEF!
what a joke.
that's just dumb. that's bad business. That makes the whole thing irrelevant. Why have the feature at all.
Yeah, the link to it is somewhat hidden. I agree that there should be a link in the store's navigation menu.

That link in the profile was there already, I guess since the profile edit is linked to the store where items to modify your profile with are there. Maybe they will make another link to it shortly or maybe they had already said it would be located there once the Summer Sale ended previously. Dunno, but I'm sure you will have people moaning about too much stuff on the UI to add the point shop to it like they do already with anything else. Can't say it is mad "irrelevant", more like a bit inconvenient for people to have to look for it if the didn't already know the link was there.
I saw plenty of 80 and 90% off discounts on games on GOG in their summer sale while that's been running.
It's pathetic really, this seperation between digital and physical goods. I dont' imagine it will actually last much longer now that basically every and their mom is migrating to digital. One of those things that is acceptable only when the minority is doing it.
Yes and no. France took Valve's *** to court over the fact that there is no way to resell your games (one of the few countries that acknowledges that the games sold on Steam are not a service but a product and therefore have rights in regard to said purchased products) but despite having lost that case Valve is throwing money to having constant retrials (despite constantly losing them). Russia just recently took Valve to court for perma-banning a citizen's account for "extreme racism" (and no, Valve didn't provide proof to justify their actions) barring said citizen from the games rightfully bought.
Likewise i'm certain it's the same here in the USA (as well as a couple other countries) as a license to a product is a license to a product after all. Valve can try and pass Steam off as a "service" (despite the fact that it's a requirement to access said products) but the reality is that they won't be able keep their bull**** facade going forever.
