PES 2018 doesn't recognize my gamepad

I have both, the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 controllers but none of them is recognized by PES. I tried in settings.exe and put them on direct input from there, still nothing. I can't play using my keyboard because I am not used to it :/

Any ideas?

Had the same problem with xbox one wired controller.

Found it worked after launching settings from Steam folder and adjusting game controller options to select correct controller in drop down menu and remapping buttons.

Once in game however I needed to unplug and replug controller for it work. Hope you've got it going already though mate.

Works fine on Xinput. Just that I was confused by the greyed out options when I selected that one and didn't even tried it :))

are you guys use windows 10? i tried everything, but the xbox one controller just doesnt work within the game. not with xinput or what soever...

Hm, in settings put directinput then device- choose controller. I'm using xbox 360 and windows 10, In PES 17 I did the same.

IT HAPPEN TO ME TOO....
So I'm using the PS4 controller and at firts didn't work... after all I did to make the game work it was so annoying.

I installed the INPUT MAPPER (Google it) and it WORKS FANTASTIC...

I use Xinput, the only minor issue is the 360 controller has to be on before the game starts. If I start the game and then the controller, the game won't register it. Or if the controller turns off, I have to restart the game.
