I’m so tired of the latest generation of football games that I’ve been looking to the past to find a good simulator. I started with PES 2013, which is still great but dated; PES 2014, promising but cumbersome to play; PES 2016, very fun; and PES 2021, good but too arcade-like for my taste.

Then I realized I had spent 150 hours on PES 2018. What a great game. It strikes the right balance between a realistic simulator and just being a good game.

Someone should bring this saga back. eFootball is not complete trash, but it is miles away from what they were cooking here.
