Best usage of Nuke Cola?
Pardon me if I seem like a noob, but what's the best usage of Nuke Cola? I've been using them sparingly to speed up Quests. Is that a wasted use?

I only use them to speed up quests.

They can also be useful to cap off a dwellers training if you want them to either start the next round or need them for something else. Especially if you are training up a questing dweller to meet the minimum SPECIAL requirements some quests have. They can also be useful to speed craft weapons/outfits required for certain quests.

Right now I am tired, and must sleep (Hence why I am on these forums, Makes sense...) A choice of waiting 30 minutes for someone to get a stat up or using a quantum to get it up so they get the next stat up tomorrow, eh, not so much of a waste. I'm wasteful though, so I guess it's really just up to you how to use them.

I pretty much only use it to get my questers on site faster. Then they can walk back to vault with half the time.

another good usage is skipping certain almost impossible objectives, since you can only do it once for free per day, then you will need nuka cola to skip them.

Check the time before using it to speed anything up. 1 Nuka Cola = 2 hours.
If you have 14h 2m to finish thats 8 Nuka cola to complete, if you let it tick down to 13h 59m thats 7 Nuka Cola to complete.

For me, their best use is to save time.
Sometimes I use some to finish training of a dweller but most of the time I save them for returning dwellers to vault and/or start a quest right away.

I try to always have 10 or so, but I sometimes spend 10 at once or 20 total in a session if I know I have the time to play.

My point is don't try to save them all. If you play every day and spend them carefully you will never run out.

Note I don't buy anything with real money and I never used cheats.

Tips to get more Nuka Cola Quantums:
You need to have Overseer's Office to get Quests and send as many dwellers to the wasteland as you can so they can discover small quests. More loot boxes that can potentially have Nuka Cola Quantum in them.

Some of the normal quests have Nuka Cola Quantum as a reward.

Finish Bottle and Cappy quest chain as soon as possible so they visit your vault. Bottle can sometimes give Nuka Cola Quantum instead of caps.

Log in every day to get a Lunchbox every week. You can find Nuka Cola Quantum in it.

Some daily objectives give Nuka Cola Quantum when you complete them.

if you fill a room with guys with high EN and High EN armor you can craft Rare high EN armor in 2 hours.

a quantum would mean you can craft it immediately.

works for weapons, armor whatever. Change EN to STR for other types of gear.

so yeah its useful in certain places to speed crafting. But quests are good too.

I only use cola on 3-person quests.

Use cola on anything else, save 2 hours. OK. Not bad.

Use cola on 3-person quests, each bottle saves 2 hours for each person, so like 6 hours. Woah.

I guess if there was a daily that had specific requirements I might use cola to rush getting the reqwuirements if I couldn't get it any other way and if the prize was nice.

When you earn your first and future pets that speed return time. Then the need to use nuka cola quantum will no longer be putt on use. I've found my Cocoa Bean under description does take the effect as x4 Wasteland Return Speed. After having found that, any returning group you have equipped will be comming back faster. :steamhappy:
