I just bought the game to play with my friends. They play on Xbox. How stupid of me to assume crossplay. Probably should have googled it. Oh well, hope the game is fun.
Couldn't even do crypt boss lady everydeen solo. game is trash.
You need to do good gear management though... melee toons seem to have a hard time with some of the bosses.
IMO, the Cleric is one of the more powerful ones due to having both a dmg shield and a self- heal.
So, everything is a gear check, try to stay ranged at all times, some bosses can be tricked with ranged so you can hit them through the door via AOEs, and destroy and pick up everything (sell, salvage, or use...you will need it all).
Did the whole game solo on normal from start to finish. One boss was pretty rough, mind you.
Note that some classes are just straight-up better than others, though.
Most fights were a bit drawn out as I had to roll around a lot waiting for my heal to come off cooldown (even sometimes with normal enemies and that little rogue).
Tried again as a Champion tonight and it was a complete faceroll including the final boss. Overall DPS was much higher as I could just facetank everything and focus on cycling abilities. Was never in danger of dying.
Its an amazing game and there are not enough of the old school party up adventure games, DDO is about the only other game that had the same item management and chase cam style that I like, to many top down PoE/diablo type games, although Undecembered and Grim Dawn to scratch an itch for me.
I will pick this up again but I jumped over to Conan for a bit and went away from the game. Might be time to run it again and have another crack at it.
