It's mostly Mask of the Sun, I think the only notable things it borrows from Dawn are the fact Leo exists and Gruda being the big bad

God that Dawn of Ys sountrack is so damn good. Dawn of Ys is by far my favorite, and I cant wait to sink my teeth into this game.

The soundtrack for this game is one of my favorites in the series. As always, atlas brings forth a legendary pulse pounding set of tunes which really get you pushing forward until the end.

As an aside, Falcom never really considered Dawn of Ys canon. They always pointed at Mask of the Sun as the 'canon entry' until now. Dawn of Ys actually breaks a bit of continuity that had been setup in the series as is.

TBF: I always liked the bumping mechanic and Mask oft he Sun did it best since you had to hit things at angles - it was like the enhanced version of the original Ys.
