how are you supposed to grab the explosive parts in stranded in space

no matter how i grab or pick them up even if i'm moving slowly and smoothly they just randomly explode anyways it's so frustrating

use mechanical blocks to move them away from the ground as soon as you pick them up, if they aren't close to the ground their chances of exploding are much lower

I could say, i build a hovercraft with magnet and some thruster down below. I used to fly high and slowly descend till it picked by the magnet, then start hauling it.

During the campaign you will have access to a truck with a mechanical arm, this will make gather these pretty easym then your best bet will be a flying machine like a drone or a gimble car later on.

Personally I made a forklift like device, I used pistons to allow me to rase and lower the maglift that I put on the end of the lift facing upside down. Then all you have to do is move the maglift over the rock and bingo you have ahold of it, just drive back, make sure to add plenty of weight blocks, and to make it long enough so you don't have balance problems.
