Saves/Achievements Don't Carry Over from UbiConnect?

I have over 200 hours on this game and 5 different game saves on Ubi Connect. Decided to get it again on Steam for easier integration for my steam deck. However when starting the game through steam my game saves are missing and achievements do not transfer over. Is there any way to fix this? Otherwise I'm just gonna return the game on Steam since there is no point in me paying to start from scratch.

Sorry to hear that you are missing your Assassin's Creed Origins progress from Ubisoft Connect.

Assassin's Creed Origins does not support cross-progression sadly. This feature, for the AC franchise, started with Valhalla.

Your progress on Ubisoft Connect will stay on the account, should you returned to it, however, on Steam you will need to start a new game.
