Animus Control Panel Broken?
So with the new Ubisoft connect update, it seems like they dropped and forgot about support for the animus control panel in Origins. Anyone know how to access now?

Hi Diamonddude5432, thanks for reaching out about this.

The Animus Control Panel has been removed - apologies for any disappointment. I hope you'll still be able to enjoy the base game with its standard settings!

Let me know if you've any other thoughts or questions at all.

I enjoyed the game when not all soldiers were bullet sponges, with altered settings it felt like you were using a sword and arrows had a real impact. With heightened soldier damage it was a truly intense and enjoyable experience. that is how i like to play my games.

after coming back to this game after perhaps a year i am truly disappointed by this slight change that has a mayor impact.and so I will never wish to finish the game, and I was excited to see how the story may develop.

If i wanted a unrealistic bullet sponge game i'd play the division.

Realism broken, disappointment ensues.
I truly loved this game

R.I.P.

It was removed due to "new and improved" ubisoft connect launcher etc.

They failed to include the animus (this was an overlay feature kind of thing).
And they also never bothered to put it in again....

Awesome news. /sarcasm

Ubisoft never fails to disappoint. It's wonderful.

By the way: Is there any mod that restores that feature? does anyone know?

yes and no.

In Your documents folder there should be a folder for Origins and in there there are 2 setting files; one named ACO and one named ACP.

You can manually edit the ACP one with notepad to tweak the control panel settings.
Change the settings WHILE THE GAME IS OPEN.

- I found that if I tweak the file and then turn on the game Ubi connect sometimes changes the settings back when it compares the save with the cloud.

That's actually great news. So it's still possible to use it, in a way. Thank you for sharing this workaround ! Hopefully that file is user-friendly. ATM I don't have the game installed.

You are most welcome, you know it worked when you see the ACP watermark in the right upper corner of your game.

Using it it is pretty straight forwards.
Just read the things carefully and the only thing you change is what you want into 1 or 0 (on or off) or the amount of precentage you would like.

It sort of works like the app, but in this way you "write it yourself while in the animus".

I kinda feels like you are in the actual animus "hacking" it....gives an extra dimension to it hehe

Bloody dump to still have an automatically created Animus Hacked save game. Why not remove that as well from the game then?

Nope. I can't enjoy with what you did. I want to change character. But you removed acp. Shame company. So bye-bye. I will not buy this game.

This ruins the game for me, and I will not be purchasing it. I don't want to enjoy the base game. The base game is racist to the people of Egypt by not putting the Egyptians as their proper skin tone that they are today. Let me guess, the DEI hires thought it would be ok to culturally appropriate Egyptian history? Well, it's not. Go to Egypt, and look on the walls.

Read the DNA studies. The lead character is not accurate, and it promotes racist afrocentrism. No longer buying your software.
