Attack their wallet.
It is simply annoying. And I wonder if that behaviour might be wanted.
And I consider to stay away from Ubisoft products as long as this issue persists.
Open Chrome
Go to passwords
Enter Pin
Copy UConnect password
type email
Paste password into Uconnect
Open Authy
Find Uconnect
Copy 2FA code
Paste into Uconnect.
While this seems like petty ranting, I try and keep my accounts secure, and ubisoft connect is the ONLY piece of software I have that makes me do a full authentication every time I want to play the Division 2. As such, I rarely play the Division 2 because I have to be mission control trying to launch a space ship every time I want to play the game.
For Assassin's Creed Brotherhood this is working as intended, this is to ensure a secure connection is made as it is an older game.
I definitely understand that this situation isn't ideal for all, and thank you all for the information you have provided, we will keep investigating this.

"For Assassin's Creed Brotherhood this is working as intended, this is to ensure a secure connection is made as it is an older game. "
Why is a secure connection required for a purchased single player game that could be played offline.... This is extremely annoying in Revelations as well. I don't want to enter a password to play a game I purchased, let alone EVERY time I play it. This is particularly aggravating on the Steam Deck where I have to enter a secure password using the on-screen keyboard at EVERY launch (so no copy/paste from my password manager).
Oddly enough Brotherhood seemed to work fine and only prompted me on my first launch... Revelations... not so much. EVERY time.
They are old titles (launched via Steam) let us ditch the launcher / password in offline use-cases. Aren't you removing multiplayer and launcher / Ubi account linkages from these older games anyway?
Hey CLorox,
Sorry for the delay, thank you for the comments and feedback you've shared here.
We don't know the exact reasoning as to why certain titles require a password, other than security reasons.
There are no plans to remove this requirement, but we'll pass your comments on.
Likewise in regards to the removal of the Ubisoft Connect launcher's requirement on legacy / defunct games.
If there's anything else you'd like to share or we can help with, please let us know!

1. Uninstall Ubisoft Connect entirely
2. Log into Ubisoft Connect website
3. Remove all saved sessions/systems
4. Re-download and reinstall Ubisoft Connect
5. Set Ubisoft Connect to run in Administrator mode
Since doing that I haven't had any problems with UC logging me out or failing to sync my saved games.
Hello snarkyboy,
Thank you for sharing this with our community!

This really doesn’t make you feel confident about their programming (& security).
What is the point of linking your Steam account if it just doesn’t work? I’m guessing the answer is “data collection”.
Hey, sorry to see you're having that issue again. Have you given any of the workarounds in this thread a try?
Reinstalling Ubisoft Connect has helped in some cases. I can assure you that the issue is under investigation and the dev team is looking for a solution.

This makes your games unplayable on Steam Deck. I use a secure password manager and I'm not typing a 20 character password filled with various special characters, numbers and a mix of upper and lower case letters every single time I want to play the game.
I just refunded AC Revelations and Brotherhood over this. It is absolutely ridiculous and shows that Ubisoft has no foresight when it comes to designing systems and in fact only has contempt for their PC players.
I'm going to assume this won't be changed either because that's just not the kind of company that Ubisoft is.
Let me know if you've any other thoughts or questions about this.
