Howls of the Dead quest bug? (Hidden Ones dlc)
Stuck in this quest and can't proceed. I bring the mummy to the necropolis, put it down, find the little tunnel but can't reach the room with the target due to some kind of invisible barrier? Tried resetting quest objective, desync-ing, exit to title screen, restart game, nothing helps and I can't complete the quest. Ideas?

I haven't verified the game and since the game autosaves constantly I don't have a save to load up, but I did manage to get past the barrier by crouching and moving the camera to face Bayek. The invisible barrier kept acting like a wall and wouldn't move into the room, I kept messing around with it until the camera clipped into the room and suddenly Bayek was able to move forward.

I played the game as normal for a while and later realized I had started an animus hacked mode when trying to deal with the bug, so I went back to my normal save and was at the same bugged spot in this quest. I was still stuck, so I did the same thing again, crouched and messed with the camera facing Bayek until it clipped again and Bayek moved forward. When leaving the area I noticed that Bayek hops/jumps across that space where the barrier was, I did it a few times back and forth. Since the quest locks you into slow moving cutscene state as you approach the area and you can't run/climb/dodge/use weapons there, I assume some kind of invisible edge prevented Bayek to hop over it.

As of now both the saves are past this quest, so I have no way of testing anything anymore.

I also had this issue. User-suggested solution worked: by moving in zig-zag lines from one edge to the other allowed me to get past the invisible wall (crawl into the edge to the left of entrance and you can move in another direction from there, if that doesn't work, try the opposite edge, camera was facing character in my case, opposite from enemy, and I was crawling).
It may have been luck, but I managed to slip through the invisible wall instantly after switching the refresh rate in-game from 144 to 60.
Just had this bug on 6/1/2024. Switch FPS limit to 60 and it worked.
Incredible how they still havent fixed this 4 years later in a dlc that costs 10£

The development team are no longer working on Assassin's Creed Origins, as a result any new issues reported will not be addressed. Thank you for your understanding.

I will now lock this thread.
