Yes, its already a known issue. Maybe a different issue from OP as it was happening on an older driver for them dating from last year.

Requesting a mod lock this thread to avoid confusion since this was created 5+ months ago now and does not pertain to the current NVIDIA driver issue.
Thank you for sharing the workaround you found to fix your freezing issue, glad to hear that Vsync and 60fps worked for you :)
shogan Thanks for sharing the news about the hotfix here as well, I definitely recommend others trying this if they have Nvidia drivers installed.
