Game freeze and crush after or during loading
Hi,
I recently bought new DLC's to AC Origins, but the game is unplayable. Right after the loading screen game freezes and crash. Sometimes I don't even make it through the loading screen. Game worked just fine year or two ago, when I was playing it first time. And I tried to contact support, but I'm unable to do that, because it is not working. Obviously more people have this issue after some update and yes, as them I have Windows 7. So do you have like any working solution? Because I tried everything recommended at your web but nothing works. Looking forward to your solution.

yeah same here. Been struggling with these freezing and crashing issues for over a month now myself.

For a while, I even got it working by wiping my Temp folder right after restarting my computer. The game would run for about 10-12 minutes before it froze or crashed. Earlier today I tried the other suggested solution, i.e. verifying the files and rolling back, but that made things only worse! Now I don't even get into the game any longer but freeze as soon as I try to load my save file.

The solutions suggested there don't work at all, and the posts are more confusing than helpful. Game is still at version 1.6 in its full broken glory.

Yes, thank you very much animal_PLANET, I obviously know that they ended the support for win 7, but it is still listed in min requirements for the game, so I would expect it will work or i will get my money that I paid for DLC's back.

keep in mind though that this issue has nothing to do with Windows 7 as other users with other operating systems have reported the same issue as well. Ubisoft broke the game wiht their patch, I had the game running perfectly fine before that on Win 7. It is the developer's responsibility to make sure their product runs as specified, else the misleading information falls under the definition of fraudulent marketing practices.

Hey guys !

I'm sorry to see you are having issues with the game launching on Windows 7.

I'd advise you try to follow this {LINK REMOVED} to see if it helps in any way. Having updated drivers can make a big difference on launching the game, so this might be related to the issues you're encountering.

If you have any error code, also don't hesitate to share them here.

They cant update their drivers as they are on Win 7. Which no one is supporting or updating drivers for. Especially since it reached EOL Jan 2020. AMD and NVIDIA both pulled support well over a year ago now. No new drivers to DL.

Yes, if Ubisoft is not gonna fix it, I would very much like to hear it directly, not trying to give solutions we know doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure the standard response from them is all you will get. Besides, they cant fix something for an OS that is dead and no longer supported by anyone.

When Capcom updated RE 2, 3, 7 with DX12 patches all at same time in the beginning of June. Many people had issues with it. Within 2 weeks they released a beta patch to rollback to prior build so people could play again.

That's 3 games Capcom patched in just under 2 weeks. Here is only 1 game Ubisoft has to fix and still nothing. Its been over 2 months. If Capcom can patch 3 games in 2 weeks im pretty sure Ubisoft could of patched 1 game if they wanted to, but you kicking a dead horse.

You will have much better luck taking care of this yourself and within 2 hours you can be playing. Clean install Win 10 on a spare drive. Preferably an SSD. Install most recent drivers, chipset. Than install steam, download origins, select play, download ubisoft connect, log in and done. Off to the races. Issue solved. Your welcome.

For 4 days I have been playing this game. Today it wont start. It hangs on the "Warning Epileptic Seizures" page. You can hear the menu music behind that window. I don't see any updates or anything that changed. It's a hard stop that makes me reboot. i.e. You can't pull up Task Manager. I tried multiple things. I tried moving the files to C drive. I am on Windows 10.

I got it to work by updating the graphics driver which was not far out of date. It's weird how the game rotted out after it was working fine.
