For a while, I even got it working by wiping my Temp folder right after restarting my computer. The game would run for about 10-12 minutes before it froze or crashed. Earlier today I tried the other suggested solution, i.e. verifying the files and rolling back, but that made things only worse! Now I don't even get into the game any longer but freeze as soon as I try to load my save file.
I'm sorry to see you are having issues with the game launching on Windows 7.
I'd advise you try to follow this {LINK REMOVED} article to see if it helps in any way. Having updated drivers can make a big difference on launching the game, so this might be related to the issues you're encountering.
If you have any error code, also don't hesitate to share them here.
-Ubisoft Support.
They cant update their drivers as they are on Win 7. Which no one is supporting or updating drivers for. Especially since it reached EOL Jan 2020. AMD and NVIDIA both pulled support well over a year ago now. No new drivers to DL.
I'm pretty sure the standard response from them is all you will get. Besides, they cant fix something for an OS that is dead and no longer supported by anyone.
When Capcom updated RE 2, 3, 7 with DX12 patches all at same time in the beginning of June. Many people had issues with it. Within 2 weeks they released a beta patch to rollback to prior build so people could play again.
That's 3 games Capcom patched in just under 2 weeks. Here is only 1 game Ubisoft has to fix and still nothing. Its been over 2 months. If Capcom can patch 3 games in 2 weeks im pretty sure Ubisoft could of patched 1 game if they wanted to, but you kicking a dead horse.
You will have much better luck taking care of this yourself and within 2 hours you can be playing. Clean install Win 10 on a spare drive. Preferably an SSD. Install most recent drivers, chipset. Than install steam, download origins, select play, download ubisoft connect, log in and done. Off to the races. Issue solved. Your welcome.
Thank you for the update!
I'm glad that the issue has been resolved for you.
Happy gaming and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.
