cloud save didnt work with steam version ?

Hello,

I finished AC Origins (Ubisoft free weekend)
So I decided to buy the gold edition with DLC's from steam
but i only have the option "new game". why is my progress not loading?

the Ubisoft freeweekend version is still installed but not playable, only the steam version without cloud save function. My steam acc is connected to ubisoft. I don't want to start over. can u help me?

Steam and Ubisoft use their own versions of the same game. For example, I have 2 copies of Watch Dogs 2 in Ubisoft Connect because one is from Steam and one is from Epic (who for some reason treats ubi games as if they came from the ubi store, unlike steam)

That said, you should be able to find your saves from Ubi's free weekend in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\<UbisoftConnectID>\3539"

3539 is Ubi's version of AC origins

You can cut or copy those files and put them in the folder "4923", which is Steam's version of AC Origins.

Cloud saves for Ubisoft games are handled by Ubisoft's launcher. No cloud saves via steam.

I have multiple copies for some games in my Ubisoft Library, and for every game on Steam/Epic you will have to play again. As being mentioned you can copy savefiles a transfer them
