It works for me after that. I got a messgae asking me which save file I should load: cloud or local. I clicked on cloud.
"I've been playing AC: origins with modified animus control panel settings, and now the save file is missing after the ubisoft connect update. The original save file that I copied from is still there. I had all my time invested in the hacked animus file so this is not good. Please help."
We'll see if anything can be done.
Hmm... maybe its your settings. Have you updated ubisoft browser? It is now called ubisoft connect. I am no expert on this thing XD. Sorry couldn't help you... danmn you ubisoft..
Sorry to hear you're having save issues
We have a guide on recovering saves via Windows Recovery and via Cloud Sync here. [support.ubisoft.com]
Can you please give these steps a try and let us know if you have any success?
Thank you!

I dont want to be too rude, but I have to ask: Are you serious? What is the job of a developer at Ubisoft? To tell players how to manually create backups on their computers? Is that what you get paid for? Do you have a open job :p
The joke on the side, today I played Origins 3-4h at a once and a few hours later I see that nothing was saved! The whole day is gone. And that's just one example!
Just to ask you, what is the advantage/security we get when we buy your original version of the game versus the pirate version(high cracked one)?
In my opinion, there is hardly any difference because the developers keep the game in poor condition even after such a long time.
If you don't want to try out the steps from the troubleshooting article, that is totally up to you. We like to provide options to players to easily access information which might help them, so they can try them out in their own time.
Just to note as well, we ourselves aren't developers, but simply support staff. I know the developer title/tag we have can be misleading, which is why we like to sign off with "Ubisoft Support" to help avoid any confusion.
I am sorry to hear that the game isn't saving for you currently, I can understand that it can be frustrating when you've been playing for a while.
Additionally, for game versions which are not from an approved retailer such as Steam or the Ubisoft Store, there is unfortunately a limited amount of support we can recommend or provide.
The game itself is currently a legacy title, which means that it is out of any active development or future updates, at least from what we know at the moment.
Although I am aware that Nvidia have recently released a hotfix for their drivers, which has helped others with performance issues, so it would be worth taking a look here: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5455
(I know this isn't directly save file related, but may help with overall gameplay if you're having any issues).
If you would like some more help with this issue at all, and you do manage to try the steps from the support article, please feel free to reach out to us via email [www.ubisoft.com], so the support team can take a closer look to see what else could be done.
