I'm sorry to hear you have run into some troubles. I would like to start by asking you two questions. Have you been able to previously play Origins? Also, is it getting stuck on the splash screen and staying there or crashing?
If you are an NVidia user, would you try turning off your FXAA anti-aliasing in your NVidia settings? This is a recent issue that popped up so if you haven't played in a couple months, this may be the issue.
You can reach them by following this link: http://support.ubi.com
Can you try rolling your graphics card drivers back to the previous version and try again to see if that helps.

You're welcome, I am pleased that your issue has been resolved.

I've had this problem myself with many Ubisoft titles and the solution has always been to install the titles on my windows drive (C:).
However, now I wanted to play AC:O again, but simply didn't have enough disk space on my windows. Then I figured out that the problem (for me at least) wasn't whether or not the game was installed on the windows drive, rather it could be installed on raided disks. Previously I had C: (regular 126gb SSD), D: (2x raided 512gb SSD) and with this setup, installing on C: was the only thing working. Now however I have an E: (2TB 7200rpm) aswell, and lo and behold, it works when installing on that one!
I hope this helps others out there!

It did for me, thanks!
Maybe something to add: this also applies if you just add a bunch of old HDs together without any mirroring with the Windows Storage Spaces option, because that's what I did.
Hey there.
Do you have your HDD set up a a Microsoft storage space device? This is known to cause issues with most of our titles with crashing/freezing and might explain why it's working whilst installed on your SSD and not your HDD and affecting multiple games. You can find out more info on this here[support.ubi.com].
