I had this too last night for the first time. I exited the game and started it back up and that seemed to have solved the issue.

Would you be able to test with another audio device then let us know if the issue persists?

Start the game when you have the sound bug Tab out and go to windows sound devices off your sound devices like sound blaster after 2 sec on it and your sound bugs are fixed .
Tab to origins and play it

I was going to test it with a different device but it hasn't happened in the last few days. Maybe it was patched.

I am having this same exact problem. I thought it may be something else, but through process of elimination, I have determined that it is the game that is making the crackling noise, not only through my headphones, but my speakers as well! I have all the latest drivers installed on my computer, i have a brand new set up with brand new Logitech speakers and the new hyper x alpha headset on a fresh gaming build (core i7 7700k asus tuf z270 mark 1, asus strix rog 1080, 16g ddr4 3000mhz RAM). I am using DTS audio software

Every other game or sound that I can play through this computer sounds absolutely perfect with no crackling noise..... EXCEPT ASSASSINS CREED ORIGINS!! Obviously other people are having the same issue and i hope it gets fixed soon. It is really starting to bother me!!!!!

I spoke too soon... The crackling is back in both my headphones and my regular speakers. Seems to be a hit or miss thing.

MrGinov, your tab out solution did not work for me. I cannot seem to get the crackling noise to go away at all. It is constant, no matter how many times I restart the game/pc or try different settings.... it is always there with just the ORIGINS game.

I too am having the audio problem. I have the issue on no other games and experience in no where else in general. No matter what settings I change, the crackling continues. The crackling is so bad that I regularly miss key parts of dialogue between characters. Please fix this incredibly annoying bug Ubisoft.

Hey all, I changed my sound quality in sound setting through windows. Underneath Advanced speaker properties. I up the default format from base cd quality to max studio quality and it fixed my issue instantly.
I've changed my sound quality to max studio and my issue persists. Very frustrating!

I get crackling audio roughly 50% of the time. I've found no other fixes than to shut down the game and to try starting it again. I'm running a Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional sound card and don't have any issues in other games. I've tried setting the sound quality to CD and to the max allowed, but no help from either.
