Is now a bad time to get Origins?

So, I saw that the Ultra Mega Deluxe Complete Edition was discounted to just $13 CAD, and I thought that sounded like a good deal. I don't exactly consider Post-Witcher Assassins Creed to be the paragon of RPG's, but I'd probably get a dozen or so hours out of it.

However, apparently the game is currently broken on Windows 11? I'd be playing through GeForce Now rather than locally, but it sounds like Ubisoft might never fix it given the hardships they're going through lately.

Idk I have W11 and played for few hours and everything was completely fine. Atm I play Valhalla which works fine aswell. Same for Odyssey.

I refunded mine 1 hour and 30mins into the game since I spend only 20mins playing and 1hour 10mins trying to fix the freezing issue on Windows 11 24h2 because it's literally unplayable.

Based on the people that has this issue, it seems to be prevalent on Windows 11 machines with 24h2 update and if you're using an Nvidia RTX GPU. Most of the people that says they have no problems whatsoever are using AMD GPUs. Emphasis on the "Most".

You can buy it now, test it until you reach the point where you're going back to your house and see if you'll have the freezing issue as well. If you do, then just refund it.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago and am happily playing it.... 23H2, though.

run the winver command, if youre on 24H2 but are really interested in the game, buy but dont bother playing until the issue is fixed (you literally wont be able to play)

if youre on any other windows version. enjoy the game!

if you have not bought it has many problems its a good game even if you can't fight the gods after paying for a dlc. but its good just don't expect ubisoft to help if you encounter an issue
