It isn't up to ubisoft to fix the issue it is MICROSOFT.

It may be Microsoft's fault, but Ubisoft deciding it was a good idea to continue selling a game that will not work, and then leaving it like that for months. They deserve the review bombing.

Ubisoft cannot do anything to fix it, it is a windows issue. You expect ubisoft to go to microsoft's offices or something and fix it themselves? Windows needs to fix what they did. They have fixed about half of the issues 24H2 has caused but not this.

There are plenty of things to bash Ubisoft about, this isn't one of them.

I'd expect Ubisoft, at the barest of minimums to *not* put the game on a deep deep sale, which encourages people to buy it, only for them to get stopped from playing with no real idea how or why unless they *specifically* look for the cause of their problems and discover it's likely a problem that may take many months to fix, considering it's already been close to 3 and no real recourse on their end except downgrade to an now very difficult version of Windows or resort to piracy.

This is very much one of the many things to bash Ubisoft about.

Again that is on microsoft. If you have been around the industry you know that Ubisoft sales marketing was in place long before this microsoft snafu. They can't stop it. Microsoft can but they take so long to fix their errors so here we sit.

I'm pretty sure they had this planned out long in advanced. Wouldn't have hurt to update the Steam page letting everyone know "Hey don't buy this game, it's bugged and won't play on updated Windows machines." Their most recent news post was from October advertising AC Mirage.

But hey, if you like Ubisoft sticking a finger up your butt, far be it from me to argue with what you enjoy. But for everyone else, continue to review bomb and/or resort to piracy if you already paid and can't get a refund.

I got this game on sale to enjoy it during the holiday but unfortunately Ubisoft did it again. I can't make this game to not crash.

Again you are blaming the wrong company. Not trying to say Ubisoft isn't a ♥♥♥♥ company but in this instance it isn't them.
