Windows 11 24h2 crashing/freezing NTDLL.DLL fix?

As the title says before the update it worked perfectly fine. But now it crashing every few minutes and throws the error in event viewer as ntdll.dll crash.
No hardware changes no drivers changes. Just updated my windows to 24h2.
Anyone else facing the same issue.
PS. Windows + any drivers are upto date.

Update 14th Jan: Ubisoft released a hotfix that fixes the crashes with windows 24h2. The game is working fine now. The patch size is around 230 mb. See update history for the game for more details

I can also confirm this Assassins Creed Origins freezing / crashing issue is the Win 11 24H2 update. I tested this on 2 devices.
1. 2016 Laptop Windows 10 22H2 - Game works perfect.
2. 2024 PC Windows 11 24H2 - Mouse cursor starts flashing then the game will eventually freeze. Can sometimes still hear audio while frozen.

Also, what is someone who still sitiing on 23H2 version, share with us NTDLL.dll file from 23H2 to replace it with 24H2 NTDLL version and try to run the game?

NTDLL.dll file is located on Windows/System32 folder.

Oh lol... they DON'T patch one game because it's a legacy title, but at the same time they patch legacy Syndicate, which came out even before Origins... where's the logic?

For one, they CAN do that. While AC series they have no idea, it's complicated because of Denuvo.

There was an update for Origins, i was happy to update and launch, and i forgot, this game is a LEGACY title, and the problem isn't fixed yet lol.

For one, they CAN do that. While AC series they have no idea, it's complicated because of Denuvo.

Only for consoles, for PC as always, you need to struggle with anti-cheat software that not allows you play your own game that you bought.

Forget about graphical upgrades also.

Microsoft as always, messes up with everything, each update something is destroyed, there is not something big added to OS, if they add, that will be notepad with AI, that nobody asked, meanwhile, they are struggling to get rid of control panel from Windows and useless content that is existing in Windows since W95.

Ubi and Microsoft are ruining people's life. Ubi should release a patch a week after reported issue, people can't just play the game that they bought, the update is forced, we can't even roll back, i have clean installed Windows, i won't downgrade to W10 because of stupid issue.

Techland has removed Denovo from Dying Light 2 and everyone is still buying their game, even though they can download a cracked version, they won't because people can have fun playing each other and they are receiving cool updates.

Ubisoft as always, encourages you to buy their a new game, couple months later, the game is useless because they released ASSASSIN"S CREED IN AFRICA that your mission is to collect AIR BOTTLES BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BREATHE, and old Assassin that was released half year ago ISNT IMPORTANT NOW.

Bruh this company is so cringe, i wanted to play my fav part because i have freetime, and i can't, i can't even refund lmao. This is so embarrassing.

Can anyone with the game installed please test the game with different ntdll.dll? this file is located on Windows/System32 directory.

please take a copy of your current and main ntdll before replacing it in the case you wish to role back.

I am positive it will help, at least until Windows or Ubisoft gives us a patch.

I understand all the negative feelings and hate we may have towards Ubisoft and Microsoft these days. But let us not forget that we had many many good experience and enjoyable memories that we all owe to them both. I'm sure the problem will be solved soon. For now, let us solve it ourselves if we can.

Thank you for trying, so role back to the main file. The problem seems to be related to Threads and Task Synchronization as well. I believe that's the reason cursor flickers when we run the game. Can you please test the game disabling one or two cores of CPU dedicated to the game, specially the ones that are not active or even very active?

While the game is being run, go to task manager, right click on the game, go to details, right click on the game again set priority to above normal or even high, then go to set affinity option and disable one or two logical processors. keep running the game and see what happens.

I cant just replace the NTDLL file, its always used by Windows 11. You need a second operating system to replace this NTDLL file.
