Quite sadly, it's the general "Modus Operandi" for most Ubi$oft's games. A few years after its original release you can pretty much always expect with some form of purposedly inserted obsolescence (link to post with several previous occurring cases) done by Ubi' Con[ubisoftconnect.com]'s 'so called' game patches/updates.
But than again, that why that for some 'oddish reason' that Ubi$oft's stocks until very recently went into a constant downhill slippery slope[www.reuters.com].
What I'm basically saying is: Regarding Ubi$oft I'll pretty much always be voting with my wallet against supporting such low ethical game developing industry "pay to progress faster" through in-game's Stores methods and more importantly the already above mentioned form of inserted obsolescence that 'oddly enough' pretty much always occurs after a few years upon the original games' launch date.
In my nearly 20 years of being around Assassin's Creed (AC') games their quality standard pretty much always started to go down a slippery slope being that more evident right after the launch of AC: Unity until the exception of AC: Origins (which up until this very date is the only game that I've known that they've fixed the Trials of the Gods "Weekly Community Challenge" and Reda's "Daily Quest" right after a few months insistance by me and several other members of that community either upon these forums and also upon their Ubi$oft "Support" site[www.ubisoft.com]).
So, never forget that thus far only one exception of actual Ubi$oft "Support" occurred in a somewhat timely manner.
Look people, i am not saying older AC parts should be supported, but AC Origins, Odyssey, should get patches, DLSS, Frame gen etc etc, people dont want new AC parts, i saw many people's posts that they want to see Bayek again, instead of listening gamers, they call them "homophobes" and they are forcing things that we didnt ask for.
They care about "equality", Ubisoft start being know after masterpieces like FC3, ACII, Prince of Persia, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.
If they want to earn money and not to let their buisness die, so they should listen players, because games are being sold to "homophobes" unfortunately this is a fact.
Its hard even release a patch for AC Origins, it should take at least 2 weeks, many companies would release patch in 1 day after Windows's update. This is so sick.
For example, Techland, company known from making masterpiece like Dying Light, people asked on socials like Discord about Denuvo removal, and Techland did! There were so issues that game couldn't boot, you could play the game 3 times daily, errors gone, the game is working well now.
Ubi wtf, you know, your old games are pirated, so remove this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Denovo, because it is making the problems with running game.
Do not buy it, buy RDR1 or Dying Light instead.
Why buy a Ubisoft game if we won't be able to play it in the future?
Read your Windows and MacOS licenses. You don't own those, either.
