Everyone should just review bomb it until it drops to neg over all and maybe they might try a little.
That is actually not a bad idea, unfortunately its the only way I can think of Ubisoft paying attention to how broken the game is.. I already have my bad review up.
What's everybody else's status on this?
What's the status of your support tickets?
Just opened a new ticket[www.ubisoft.com] about it, simply because Ubi$oft's "Support" team members kept closing my previous open ticket[www.ubisoft.com] even without providing me with solutions and only tried to stall / aggravate me further by using that tape-recorded like sore justification attempt excuse like the below example one, which had a serious logical timeline flaw on top of it all (even more after me purposely linking them to the current community's solution for it):
"Ubisoft, 19 Aug 2024
Hello There!
I'm Ubi-[Removed for their privacy] and I will be stepping in on behalf of my colleague.
Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this issue to our attention.
We regret to inform you that we have concluded post-launch support for this game, as our development team is now focused on new projects. Consequently, we do not have any further updates planned for this title, and this issue may persist. Although we are still looking for a solution related to the Kenway Fleet you reported related to Assassin's Creed IV but it can take a while as we are focused in our future releases.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you continue to enjoy your time playing our games.
If you have additional concerns or questions, please feel free to contact us.
Your understanding of the matter is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your cooperation.
..."
And that was the sort of b**l$**t justication attempts trying to simply make us quit on our complaints.
We should focus on always keeping those said tickets open no matter what until they decide to stop acting like "Support" pretenders and actually start acting like real a million $ (Dollars) profit game developing company's "Support" that actually caters to their user needs and fix those in a due timelly manner. Our current problem is establishing a working dialogue with Ubi$oft's "Support" because thus far their communictional skills have been seriously monologue driven instead of actually trying to work with us and present solutions for what it's currently broken and that wasn't until 16th July 2024.
Bottom point is: I've acquired AC:O back at 2017 fully and flawlessly working an only recent game's and/or Ubi' Con[ubisoftconnect.com]'s 'so called' patches/updates broke it. And I want that reverted, period.
And, quite sadly, that's pattern that I've started to know and easily recognize through my several participations upon different of their AC's titles throughout their related Steam's forums sections.
----
And, imho, review bombing this title upon Steam is easily neglible by Ubi$oft's part, which have always been rather unconcerned about keeping up their titles status upon this platform's thus far somewhat still remaining good name. If they barely update what they sell in here like for instance updating older games to come bundled with Ubi' Con instead of the now defunct UPlay and even remove DLC's from being sold in here while keeping those still being sold upon their Ubi' Con's Store / Game Launcher, quite bluntly putting it, I seriously don't think that that's even remotelly a good approach while trying to establish a working dialogue with Ubi$oft.
I'm on a new ticket too.
It is unacceptable that when the game was released in 2017 it had all online features working and they asked for 50$ but now in 2024 all those features are broken/missing/disabled but they want 60$ for that game.
This probably is amongst your 1st Ubi$oft's "Support" site's tickets, am I right? Give it time and you'll soon get their currently usual (and rather crappy) "Modus Operandi" easily recognized in future times you've find a bug appearing upon their games.
Quite sadly, for me at least, I'm probably upon my Nth ticket open with them and, if not mistaken, the 1st one was when they removed the Da Vinci Dissappearance DLC and the Investments funtionality from AC: Brotherhood. A game that I still own in CD-DVD but when replaying it a few years later noticed that those were removed, researched about it and went to fetch my old external HD's saves to be able to still keep playing that DLC, but the Investments feature made returning cameo for around a year and once they've noticed that someone had made a blunder it was instantly removed in the following Ubi' Con's (obviuously meant pun) 'so called' patches/updates.
I'm getting the same bulls*t, that is why I think leaving a review regarding the issue is the best way so far.. as tickets are just being ignored.
