I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME MAN (FIXED)
if you have problems with the game launching try putting it on a different harddrive/disc

You really need UbisoftConnect, it's the game's launcher. And it's crap, anyway. Sometimes the game just crashes out of nowhere. It happened to me a couple of times; and just now. Fortunately, I already ended the game's story, so I won't have to deal with this crap anymore. I would really like to finish all the side quests, but I'm done solving crashing issues thanks to Ubisoft Connect. I completely understand you, I felt the same way. I love the AC series, but this will probably be the last time I will buy an Ubisoft game. I know I won't buy AC Odyssey after this.

Anyhow, to solve future crashing issues you may have here's this video I found. It was a life safer:

i have ubisoft connect, the game is stuck at the splash screen, ill try to move the installation folder and try playing.

it still doesnt load farther than the splash screen, i have 112 minutes on this game and they have all been spent waiting for the game to atleast launch.

Agreed. I've been saying this for some time. Until they fix the launcher players should simply avoid these titles like the plague.
