Sobek's Tears Investigation.

I completed Sobek's Tears, but not the way I wanted to complete it. What I mean by that is I didn't get to examine anything in the crocodiles pool, because I followed a trail of blood down into a hole near the pool and found a piece of cloth that I foolishly examined which meant I was unable to examine the other things in the pool. This has also happened with other investigations. How am I suppose to know that by examining a particular item it will prevent me from examining anything else. This is unfair. I wish there was a way to replay these kind of quests.

Anyone else agree?

Teoretically you can try to Reload quest objective in the quests tab, it may or may not help you out if you do it immediately.

But yeah, no manual saves sucks

Yeah. Sucks big time. I liked the days of manual saves, now very few companies implement it.
