Avenge quests and other player's photos don't show

I have uPlay overlay enabled, I play the game through Steam launcher but own it from the Ubisoft store. Avenge quests and other player's photos have stopped showing up, is there anything I can do to fix it?

It is not a part of the overlay but done in game. On your map there is an option to change what is shown. You may have the option to turn off players photos. Check that?

That's not it.

Either you are playing offline or the map filter is set to not show them?

Or, there just isnt anybody or any picture around you at the time. I do not think the map shows worldwide players, but I could be wrong. That is a Ubisoft question and you can submit a ticket to find out more.

It maybe local to your region. If not that many players are playing when you are. You probably wont have many photos or avenge quests pop up. That's my guess.

Okay, thank you for guessing, but this is a known issue which wasn't fixed by the common suggestions put forth in the past by Ubisoft; I'm not playing offline and the map is filtered to show all.

Yea no problem. Only other suggestion would be to not launch as non-steam game. Just use it directly thru UC and see if it changes anything.

If you could also please try verifying the game's files[ubi.li] and sharing any screenshots of the issue this would also be appreciated.

Hey, I've been having the same issue too. No community photos or avenge quests showing for the last few weeks. I really enjoyed seeing other people's photos in my playthroughs. I have the game on Ubisoft Connect and all the filters and online settings look good.

Hey I wanna let you know this issue exists caused by in game updates. It is a problem on xbox as well its a game wide failing with any game thats updated to last update

I will add it is not Origins specific either avenge missions issues are happening in Origins, Odessey, and Valhalla. ut since Ubisoft is no longer updating origins they have yet to even slightly fix this issue in the game. I strongly suggest if you really need the avenge missions as part of your gameplay reach out to ubisoft if we do not hound them they wont fix Origins as an older game. I would also say as its part of the game that was advertised when bought we could actually class action suit if they continue to nit fix it

Thanks, yes I noticed there were problems in other online AC titles too lately.
It's just sad how Ubisoft can't muster up the courage to just admit that these problems are caused solely on their own servers. They've been misleading customers who have had troubles with newer titles than Origins, too, the same "Please try trouble-shooting" nonsense that won't work because it's not a client side issue.
