Aya: Blade of the Godess. .. No going back mission.

I reached the point of the mission Aya: Blade of the Godess. I was told by Aya, that there was no coming back, from that mission until it's over.

Often games do this, and it made me think I must have nearly finished the main story. However there are six more missions after Aya: Blade of the Godess.

Is it just this one mission for now that you are locked into. Or do all the remaining six missions keep you locked in?


When I got to that mission I declined. I wanted to go off and discover more etc. Like just today I completed all sync points meaning all fast travel points. Plus yesterday I un-fogged the whole map.

I am sure I could find some more side missions. I have 78% competed AC: Origins. There should be a bit to do besides the last seven missions total that I have.

(I have the two DLCs too.)

Should I complete as much as I can, then go for the main missions? Or can I do Aya: Blade of the Godess, and still explore after that one mission?

Yes you are locked into Aya for awhile and it's some missions and a boss fight, but it's not the end of the main story. After you have finished this run on Aya you will be back on Bayek again on the open world map, and you can go back to other things before doing the final main story missions.

Ace. I was thinking about just going for it anyway.

Firstly it didn't make sense that they tied us down for seven whole missions. Secondly I was surprised to find that I really only had a couple of side missions left. I also explored a few more questions marks, but I think I cleared them all now. Literally one side mission left, and one side hippodrome mission left. (Something like hippodrome or arena anyway. Not so keen on them. Last one made me fight with slow heavy weaposn, that I have never used. Urgh!)

Will probably do a bit more main mission. Then might start one of the DLC. I have the right levelling. Dunno, might finish the main game then do both DLC.
