Animus Control Panel ACP Watermark On Screen

So whenever you use and apply the Animus Control Panel, it slaps a transparent ACP watermark on the top right of the screen. There's no option to remove it even if you completely disable HUD or go into photo mode. It is kinda distracting / immersion breaking and there should be an option to turn that off. I mean with ACP on, uplay achievements, arena and the leaderboard features are already disabled. We probably don't need the constant ACP logo in our game screen to tag along with that. Ubisoft could you look into this please.

Also, if you haven't realized already, DO NOT use ACP on your first playthrough cause whatever progress you make using ACP will be using a separate save file from your main save and you wouldn't be able to use certain in-game features as mentioned above.

I thought exiting and reloading the hacked save would fix it but no, it's still there. That's messed up as they say in the movie Dinner For Schmucks.

That watermark is a permanent thing because of using the Animus Control Panel. There needs to be an option to remove that.

Maybe they planned to leave it in only for the duration of this patch. So next patch the watermark could be gone? Dang thing is just barely noticeable enough to ruin the view for me except when clouds cover it up.

Yes please get rid of the ACP watermark. It's very annoying. This is not a multiplayer game. It's a singleplayer experience which we should be able to enjoy to our own liking without ugly watermarks!

I think the thought was to give a visual cue that you are in the ACP mode, but I haven't personally seen much positive feedback over it so I am really trying to stress to the team that players would like this changed.

Hey UbiBoat, thanks advocating to the dev team. I love new ACP features, but I find the in-game water mark incredibly distracting. Considering my save game is different color than a regular (or NG+) save, I don't struggle to remember I'm playing an ACP save. If the watermark showed up on the pause screen, that would be fine.

Thanks for getting back to me to share your feedback and suggestion on the watermark. I will be sending this thread directly to the team so they will definitely see this!

I'm not a developer, but I think the reason the "ACP" watermark is there isn't so that the player knows they're playing a "hacked" save, but rather when someone streams or records their gameplay, there's proof it's not vanilla and there's no "cheating" happening for competitive things like speed-runs. I imagine a lot of speed-runners would be tempted to boost movement speed and damage/HP values to try and speed things up.

Also, Ubisoft wouldn't want the core gameplay misrepresented. If someone saw a player tame 5 hippos on a "hacked" save file--that they didn't know was hacked--and thought it would be cool, then goes and buys the game on PS4 and realizes that it's not possible to train more than one animal, they might be upset.

(All that said, I would like to remove it as well. I don't usually notice it, but in dark places and when the sky is clear, it really stands out more than you'd think it would, especially with the HUD elements turned off or to "Light".)

i was just curious what this animus hack is without even really the need to change or cheat haha its asingleplayergame so why the .... well .... , just wanted to check out this feature... but now im getting punished with that ACP disturbing my view on that beautiful game
