Thinking of getting the game...
I have owned and completed the game on Xbox One. Loved the combat and story. Now I feel like revisiting the game on PC. How well would the game perform on my specs? Is it worth the grab while it's on sale?

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU Rx570 4GB
RAM: 16 GB

In-game Benchmark is accurate in what you will experience in actual gameplay.

1080p Very Low = 66 fps
1080p Medium = 55 fps
1080p High = 51 fps
1080p Very High = 47 fps
1080p Ultra High = 43 fps

If you are targeting 60 fps, you may want to play at lowest settings at 1080p. You can increase some settings like Textures, since they don't affect fps as long as you don't run out of video memory. If you don't mind fps dipping below 60 often, then Ultra High 1080p is playable.

Just note a lot of threads are with users who have an RX 570 that have complained how the game performed on their system as well as other issues. Either the game or AMD drivers are not optimized well for the 500 series card.

I'd say keep that memory on console until you have a better PC. The experience you will get for your specs will not be good especially if only playing at 1080.

do 1080p very high and just lock to 30. unless you don't like 30fps.
ultra has a bunch of settings that really only matter on big screens on high resolutions.

I just realised I have Assassins Creed Origins Discovery Tour on Uplay. Got it for free a while back. Will test out settings and see the results on that before buying the full game.

So I ran the benchmark on Discovery Tour and the game was very stutter and unstable for the most part on medium settings 1080P. Despite saying I had an average of 66 FPS, the game would not stay at that value. Especially in cities such as Alexandria.

For me I've gotten too used to 60+ FPS that 30 FPS feels choppy to me. I could try low settings but considering this game goes on sale for about $17AUD everytime a sale occurs. I may wait until I upgrade my GPU before I consider purchasing.

I have a similar card as you. I used a mod/program called "dxvk" which helps increase the fps for AMD users. The game was playable for me after that. You should check it out.
