Getting set on fire is garunteed death.
At Level 48 I die in 5 ticks from fire and I have the best HP gear I can have. It takes like 8 ticks to go out and there's no stop drop and roll.

Actually.. if you hit the dodge button repeatedly it shortens the duration and lessens the effect of the fire. As does jumping into water, even if it's only ankle deep.

There are some fires that kill pretty fast, no matter what you do though.

Thank you so much for the tip, I have never tried dodging repeatedly. Every time I catch fire and there's no water nearby, I just accept my fate and let out a big SIGH.

yea, doing a roll by dogding 3 times in a row will make the fire go out. Somewhere after the start of the game (maybe first time you're set on fire) I can even remember the game telling me that in a short text popup.
Just hammer that dodge button until you're saved.

Yes, it was just one mention during the tutorial quest, I believe. Comes in handy sometimes, although I hate going through all the trouble of dodging and rolling repeatedly, only to die at the end anyway... or that one stray arrow that catches you and kills you.

Might be time to start reading the tips that the game gives you, Chow Meins. 😝
