Be aware that it really does put the CPU harder then virtually any game out there. What CPU are thinking of using?
Own the game through UPlay and have about 120 hrs. played in AC:O.

Already have the parts but haven't been able to upgrade my GPU due to the recent prices.
I have an i5 8600k and 16GB DDR4. CPU is watercooled and overclocked at 4.9.
Thanks for the suggestion though. Decided to put the game off until I get a new GPU.
Probably will just buy the rest of hitman as that seems to run pretty well.
i only paid $239 for my 6 gig card back in march of 2017 at my local microcenter
best GPU i ever bought for = bang for the buck
old GPU was an ASUS Strix direct CU II GTX 960 ..paid $200 for in 2015
current price for a 3 gig GTX 1060 is insane ... at 299

6 gig cards are $400

I wanted to get a 1070 personally but couldn't find anything online or in store at a reasonable price. On the bright side, I've saved up a bit more since than so I should be able to afford a 1080 by then and a new power supply.
Go to EVGA.com and select a few models.
Setup notifications on the models you want and the second you get your notification email that an item is in stock BUY IT before they run out.
That way you pay near retail prices. The GTX 1060 6GB starts from $310 and the GTX 1070 starts from $470.
Just a case of putting the notifications on cards, watching your email and acting fast.
On a side note: Swap my i5-6600K for your i5-8600K :)
The GTX 1060s may go down in price due to changes in cryptocurrency but the 6GB may actually increase.
Watched a video where one of the popular cryptocurrencies needs more the 3GB for it's file and the O/S. This means the cryptocurrency demand for 3GB versions should go down.
Expecting a lot of used 3GB GTX 1060s being sold cheap but suspect they would be a bad buy considering there is no way to confirm if they were abused, etc.
Sweet to hear. :)
yes the op will need a better gpu
totally do not understanmd this
On a side note: Swap my i5-6600K for your i5-8600K :) umm they use doffernt ram and motherboards..intel changes the pinouts on the i 8 series so wi9th the new boards yep you need a new CPU
It was a joke.
I was jealous of his 6-core CPU.
TBH, I wish I had sprung the extra £100 for the 8700k.
Maybe next time, I guess.
Was a AMD man in the past and have been Intel for years but these new AMD CPUs are looking interesting.
Might consider the Rysen 2 range if they are as good as rumors say. At least the motherboard will last more generations unlike Intel so an upgrade down the road should only been the CPU and not the motherboard, etc..
But it is nice to see Intel having to be more competative because of AMD.
