Do they ever plan to finish the story of Assasins creed ?
we bascially left out after AC2 with an unfinished story . Mirvana if i remember is alive . desomond is dead . she out into the world .yet we got all those ♥♥♥♥ games like unity that did nothing to advancd the story and even black flag didnt od much and sydicate. now this .
i know the ending probably will be so lame and will not give any answer. is this game is like a milking machine of cash made to revive AC after the fails of the last games . i simply dont see the end of it .

AC was originally ment to be 4 or 5 games. Most of the people that created it left the franchise after the ezio triliogy and AC3 and ubisoft decided to keep the franchise going because it was making alot of money. AC3 was the last game to really advance the modern story but origins will almost certainly have a proper modern day story because the creative director has said multiple times when asked about it that he has been listening to the fans and will say more at a later date.

Well When Syndicate was coming they said that modern day is back. And we got a 10min cutscene. This has got to doa lot better than that.

There are plenty of fans who want a better modern day plot, but there are many others who just don't want modern day story at all anymore. Not sure which group is Ubisoft actually trying to satisfy.
What i want is an endig to the game . something to close all those AC . becasue i feel this game will leave more questions to ask than asnwers. the fact AC could be a classic . they could tie the gaem and make aas many spin off as they want. but omg finish the damn story i want to know how it ends . what they make now is just milking money .

See that is the thing.I can t disagree with them.Pretty much anyone who jumped into Assassin's creed after Brotherhood hasnt got a decent modern day story.Ihave seen many people get excited about it once i explained them the story.

I think Ubi just ran out of ideas as to what they should do with the modern day.I think a dark and gritty Max Payne ish Noire drama would suit AC.

By that logic Half Life is the worst franchie ever xD.Plus that has got nothing to do with it.MGS almost always left with a cliffhanger.Doesnt make it bad game.

The hardcore fans that were here from the start want modern day back like in the ezio days and if ubisoft fails to deliver on a decent modern day story after 4 failures (black flag, rogue, unity, syndicate) then I think they will lose alot of the fan base that made the franchise as big as it is. One of the reasons why the first 4 AC games were so good was because it felt like they were using the animus for something more than to just run around and kill people. It was helping them advance the story. All the others since AC4 and beyond have given us little to no reason why we are actually in the animus / helix.

Even AC 4 was very light on the story and the MD segments were boring af.If they want to do it right they need to get someone like desmond(or bring back desmond). And they can definitely bring back Desmond now that the game is set in egypt.

It would make more sense and better to have a completely new character, remember subject 16 in Revelations? He was there before desmond and we didn't know who he was so there could be a replacement subject like #18 or something and just create a story for him and he could meet rebecca and shaun and keep the story going like that.

Yeah,And he could turn out to be a good character. But still Desmond could come back. And him being ressurected could bring on some funny moments.
Either way i would like AC's modern day to be a scripted third person action game like Max Payne.

The ending is going to be mysterious and open new "doors" because they need to put expectations high and keep selling future releases. As far I know Origins is planned to be a trilogy

Lets hope it opens new doors and not tiny cat flaps like the last 4 games.

They could use desmonds son, that they hinted at in syndicate, as the new modern day protagonist as he has now been captured by abstergo and they could try and do the whole escaping abstergo thing again like the begining of AC2.

He is a really small kid now and plus he joined the Instruments of the first will.Plus he is a sage.At best he can be a anti hero at worst an antagonist.I dont see him as the main protagonist.

This team done a decent job on the modern times gameplay (AC Back Flag), so we can expect something similar. To me, and from what I can remember the best modern gameplay was in ACIII. Rogue I cant remmember so I asume it was nothing special. About Sindicate and Unity, I have not played
