Crafting Legendary Items

Took a month break and have returned to see what's new.

This post brings one of my issues to the front: Legendaries.... If I might explain:

The only Bows I can equip which have Fire damage inherent are legendary weapons. If any random NPC can hit me with a fire arrow and ISN'T standing next to a source of fire from which to light their bow, they must ALSO be using a legendary.... Hmmmm not so special eh?

Think about this for a second.

OK then, on we go. Since legendary Armor and other items are CRAFTED, not found... what makes them legendary? Obviously it's the end of the crafting line; no more improvements. Good as you will get.

There are so many unique items that only get purple status, and most players won't use them end game so this ARTWORK is basically for nothing. That's just sad, in the truest form.

I have 2 different legendary shields with the same stats: 4 melee resist, 3 damage reduction and bleed on block - different artwork, same stats... c'mon guys!

Please give me the ability to take that awesome Shield of Alexander, and make it a legendary, or basically any other item with unique and interesting artwork involved, instead of wasting that status on another generic shield. Please!

Btw, atm I have extra carbon crystals... rare but now only merchant fodder.

If you have any screen shots of items which you'd craft to legendary if possible, please share. I've already sold a few since I wouldn't use them, and now feel a bit ill for doing so.
