Why graphic downgrades UBISOFT?

When it came out AC Origins looked stunning, nice LODs no popp ups etc.

But with all the patches the game was dowgraded again and again and now with 1.5 the LOD looks like crap also almost everything pops up in the last second, even the shadows!

For example in Cyrene there are nice yellow flowerfields, at distance now it looks like a yellow splat and even every ground texture or LODs from buildings look terrible flat.

I don't get the reason of a downgrade sorry, is it only about performance? The game runs flawless before any patch came out. And still looked awesome before patch 1.2 came out..

Don't get me wrong this is by far the best AC game i've ever played and it still looks nice, but it could look even better....

Please no more graphic downgrades...:/

Conspiracy theroy: since reviews are already out, Ubisoft doesn't care much about the press. So they're downgrading the graphics so that more people can play, or so they get fewer refunds/tech support calls.

i dont think there's any downgrade in this game. Everything look like the same on E3, seriously this game is the only few i dont see Ubisoft downgrades it

There's definately a downgrade, believe me.

Soon i post some pictures from the pure game since it came out and from the 1.5 patched version, be prepared.

I think some people complained about bad level of detail at some point - but I never got such problems (game looked the same since release). I'm guessing it's some bug under certain conditions... definitely not a downgrade on purpose.

Just asking, because I know you've been around awhile, Ares4X, and I've been enjoying your screenshots for awhile now, too.. Did you already try deleting your ACOrigins.ini file and let the game generate a new one? one of the patches broke mine somehow, and it reverted to pre-patch look after I did that. But, yes, there has been a noticeable downgrade over the course of the patches, but it sounds like yours may be something else, Ares4X.

No i never let the ini regenerate, that's a good idea, i try it out, thanks very much!

It only works in rare cases, but hope it helps..

I can't believe it! It seems to work, the LODs look way better now, there are still popups with shadows and some textures but very rare. Thanks again! So it wasn't a downgrade after all.

Welll... it has been downgraded a bit overall, but only a small but annoying amount. Nothing like what you were describing though. Glad it worked!
