Yes, there seems to be no loading screens from what we've seen. The entire map is all in 1 without travelling from city to city through loading screens etc.
The map is all of Egypt & is 3x the size of Black Flag.
Also you could look at the map size. There are videos out on youtube showing that.
Proof?
There is no "real" open world and since AC series have always been extremely linear imo, then expect a dead world "alot of dead filler" but the outside looking like free world.
Depends on what you call open world, if you think being able to go abit off map, but still have to do linear quest in a dead world (can't interact with most stuff other than whats part of main/side quest) then yes... if you like most think open world is when its true open world!! You don't have to do quest in a particular order, you can manipulate everything and AI cares about your action, then NO not even close.
Also the whole Open Narrative structure doesnt really work for AC.Primarily because we are Re-living memories.Open narrartive might have worked if AC was set in the present day like WD2.But that is not what AC is about.
Sure that is true, but then its not Open World, that was my arguement. I could agree on it being limited open world, but most action games are that.. (This is also primarily a action game)
