I don't have odyssey but i think the setting is also cool as i absolutely love ancient egypt and rome and greece, all of that.

To me Bayek is genuinely the best character in the AC universe to date. The world is beautiful and a pleasure to traverse and the only gear you really have to worry about are your weapons.
AC Odyssey is more like a loot driven RPG game. The world looks beautiful but isn't very fun to explore due to the insane amounts of oceans (unless you love ships!) and the horse works very strangely when running near towns.
AC Odyssey does have better DLC in my opinion but personally I was done with it after 1 playthrough. Didn't care for playing through it again as Cassandra instead.
AC Origins I've played through twice now and I'm on my third playthrough.
Dlc's are great especially the curse of the pharaohs one since it adds the mystical parts of Ancient Egypt's beliefs.
Today i was fighting a merc then a soldier passed by attacked me and i had to kill him, then i got a bounty on me then one more merc showed up out of nowhere then a few more soldiers showed up and ended up in a ridiculous situation. And on top of it all the fact that it has micro transactions for actual gear and boosts is a big thumbs down.
So i have to say Origins is way better for me.
