Why is the price still $59.99?

Xbox one and PS4 are both $29.99 and the new game is coming out in October
I would like to buy it right now but i am not playing $59.99 when i could drive up to the redbox and buy it as a used game right out of the machine for $29.99 as a used title.
GMG is also selling it on PC right now for $26.97 but this is the platform i want to buy it on

Current price for Assassins creed Origins on key site is 26€/28$ for Uplay key.
And even AC Odyssey is 40€ for standard. and game is not even released yet.
I got Origins on 2 months be for release, preorder, Deluxe edition for 35€.

There is nothing to fix. AC:O is a good game and just a bit more than a year old

also your comparison is totally off. you compare a full price new title with a used game for a reduced price. looking at the xbox store than the current price would be 36$ because of a sale, everytime else its 60$ too.

If you think its not worth to pay 30$ more for a good game then dont buy it on steam or wait for a sale.

Both of your examples are comparing a discounted price to a regular full price and then complaining about the full price being higher, that's so clearly unreasonable that I'm surprised you went through even the minimal effort of typing your post without realising it.

For reference during the Steam sale last month this game was half price, so it would have been very similarly priced to your other examples.

You however made a good point so i decided to buy the gold edition from GMG for $47.50.
it won't activate on steam just uplay but i couldn't play it without uplay anyway so no problem i don't guess.

Steam had watch_dogs 2 for $20 at one point. That's the price I got it for back in Nov 2017 last year.

I'm not sure if you were talking about greenmangaming but i don't really consider them a cheap key site or fishy, on steam the gold edition is $100 and on GMG the price for gold edition was / is $47.50 so i bought it there. been playing it most of the day and i agree with the people that said its a good game but i don't think it was worth $100.

So in conclusion i wasn't trying to start an argument with anyone by posting this i was just confused as to why i kept seeing it cheaper other places and not here. I was willing to pay $30 for the base game but when i saw the entire thing for $47.50 i couldn't pass that up for everything unlocked. I do prefer to buy my games from steam bcause of the platform itself and i wish they did some kind of price match if you find it cheaper elsewere. and yes i know you all don't have to tell me this isn't wal-mart.
