Recommended level 43, but can't pass 40?

So, nobody told me the level cap was 40.
The fact the levelling stops at 40 makes me incredibly angry. Why 40? That's less than half the level cap of every single game out there.

But more importantly, I was looking to do the Trial of Anubis (well, Trial of Sobek, now), which says I have to be level 43 to even stand a chance... BUT THERE IS NO LEVEL 43!!

How the heck am I supposed to be able to do these trials if the recommended level isn't even coded into the game?

The level cap in main base game is 40.
when you get season pass DLCs , you can get up to 55

Level 43 Trial is very doable at level 40.

Yeah, don't listen to game recommendations... what does it know? I suggest practicing with wrenches. Because once you learn to dodge a wrench, you can easily dodge some crocodile spit. Go for it! :-)
