Level cap and The Hidden Ones DLC

I have two questions,
1.If I have the DLC installed does that mean I will be able to level up after lvl 40? Because that will make it a lot harder to get more ability points...
2.How much exp do I need to get more ability points after lvl 40?

1) Yes, but the DLC missions give a ton of exp. While your basic high-level side-quest could award something like 2k exp, the DLC quests can give upwards of 20k. It's meant to get you to max fairly easily, so getting points it not a concern.

2) I'm not sure the exact amount needed, but I feel like the amount turns out to be less than the levels that come just before it. Meaning getting from 54 to 55 is way harder than getting to however you'd describe 55+.

Bottom line, you don't need to grind on the endless respawning soldiers for experience in the DLC for comfortably leveling up. Not all the new DLC skills will suit your playstyle and you probably end up keep stacking up your weapon damage.
