Can you get mounts from Heka chests?

I know you can get the Helix credit weapons and outfits from Heka chests, as I have the Scarab and Shadow Warrior outfits, and a couple of the weapons, too.

Is it possible to get mounts like the Abyssal Steed or Midnight Sun? I suppose I could use my 700 credits from season pass to buy one of them, but I philosophically oppose microtransactions so I would rather get the items without using the store.

You can definitely get Mounts from the lootboxes. I'm with you regarding microtransactions, especially unnecessary ones like those in Origins. I have received all of the Mounts via the lootboxes so far.

All the items, including mounts, of each "pack" and what-not gets added to the loot table for the Heka chests, but usually after a short initial delay.

I think the only items that never appear are some of the Uplay reward outfits. Everything else is attainable through random chance (and grinding for the cash to buy the chests.)
