What level is recommended for each DLC?
Hi,
I have a character of level 41.
I am not sure if I should grind a little more of side quests or go play the first DLC and then the second.
What level did you start playing these DLCs?
Thanks.

"For The Hidden Ones:

The new content will be accessible at any time, however Ubisoft cautions players that this is high-level content and suggests players attain level 40 before attempting it.

Ubisoft has also announced that the level cap will be raised to 45 for DLC owners, with another raise (to level 55) planned for the next DLC."

So, around 40 for the first, and 45 for the 2nd.

Thanks for stepping in to help out again, EbonHawk. I can always count out you to be awesome!

Just to reinforce, I would recommend being level 40 when you go into the Hidden Ones and then level 45 to go into Curse of the Pharaohs. Be sure to stop by after playing them to let me know your thoughts!

Did you noticed those little numbers under the name of the region on the map like

37 & and an icon of a shield & 40
?

This indicates the level you can expect in this area, and you should have reached to go there.

This will help you out I guess, not only while handling the DLCs.

But since the leveling system in Curse of the Pharaohs is quiet intense (like, you can easily kill someone one level above you, but if someone is 3 level above, you are going to die, just by the enemy looking at you kind of thing...), and the area of the DLC is quiet small (compared to the main game), it really makes sense to have an eye on these numbers...

But no worries... if you are at the level to enter the DLCs (or even 2 levels below), you can just dive into the main quest, and you will level up pretty fast. So there is no need to dealing with side quests for hours to reach a certain level, unless you want (and you really should) to.

Hope this helps...

I am sorry, but I just dont get it.
I am level 42 and I have completed ALL of the side quests, even couple of times the trials.
how is it possible, that the first DLC, that takes maybe 2 hours to complete, will boost me 3 levels to 45 when all of my side quests, which took me 5-10 hours to complete, leveled me only from 40 to 42 level.

This level system is broken.

Well, I wouldn't say it will only take you 2 hours to complete the Hidden Ones if you do everything. Either way, when you start doing these quests, they are intended for a higher level. Therefore, they give you more experience than the side quests from the base game will give you.

Like UbiBoat said, you will level faster than you think, but only if you don't rush everything. Still, you'd have to try really really hard to miss out on the XP needed to level up.

Now after grinding for two weeks all the main game side quests, I want to puke when I think to continue playing more of this game, sadly.
I think I will get back to BlackFlag/Rogue, its a good timing especially when we have the remastered of the Rogue version.
These old and best games in the series did not have such ridicoluos leveling system at all.
