Best way to make money?

I dunno if I'm doing something wrong but I always don't have enough money to keep my gear upgraded.

How many items are you trying to keep upgraded? I found that I couldn't keep up either, but I was trying to keep too much stuff upgraded. Maybe 1 or 2 of each weapon / armor type is hard enough. I would still have to farm animals' skins near the docks of Alexandria and Cyrene to keep enough cash.

You're not expected to keep your gear upgraded, that's the best way to waste money. Know that the cost of upgrades of a particular weapon is always the same (even if you upgrade it from lvl 1 to 55 in one go).

You should really just go with what you loot and maybe sometimes go back to and upgrade what you like (like every 15 or 20 lvls, not more), or you'll end up lacking money pretty quick.

If you want to make money, there are a few farming spots in the game, if you're around lvl 40, you can farm efficiently in a particular zone of the game, assuming you have the proper skills to do it quick. (The Docks aren't efficient at all, and you should be high level when you'll find yourself in need of money already).

As others have alluded to already in this thread, I wouldn't recommend keeping all of your weapons upgraded. I usually only upgraded two or three weapons that I liked and then after hitting max level, I only upgraded a handful of weapons. I would just say find a couple favorites and keep only those upgraded.
